Riham’s paintings are a product of observation, interpretation and improvisation. Her love of figures moves her to work from an emotional response to show human experiences and emotional states and our response towards them. The subject matter of her work had always been the figure in the environment. The ideas behind them are as much a concept or a story as a composition. Esthetic competes with concept in a way that is extremely challenging and often very time consuming.
The Symbolic colors in her artwork are representing a personal experiences carried into her studio by memory to be transformed onto energetic expression, Riham believes as she makes her way down the path to define her style, she will continue to grow through the process.
Most of the portraits in Riham’s work have an intense and dramatic look on their faces ,this dramatic look that gives lots of meaning is part of what she believes in, she loves the art that makes her think and wonder, that moves her feelings and interact with the audience
Riham had been influenced by lots of artists for example the way Picasso created his art spontaneously just like a child , the mystery and creativity in Dali’s work , the transforming of pain , struggle into stunning artwork as Frida Khalo’s paintings
